Why did Benjamin Franklin fly a kite in a thunderstorm?

Can you imagine anyone flying a kite during a thunderstorm? Well, in 1752, an American, Benjamin Franklin wanted to prove that lightning was an electric spark. So, he flew a silk kite in a thunderstorm, and tied a key to the string, and was thus able to prove that lightening was indeed electricity. Luckily, Franklin himself was not burned, but all the same, the experiment was a dangerous one, and no one should try to repeat it!

Important contributions of Kalidasa

Kalidasa was a Sanskrit poet and dramatist,probably the greatest Indian writer of any epoch. Kalidasa was a member of 'Navaratna' in Vikramaditya's kingdom at Ujjain. Of his various works six identified as genuine the dramas Abhijnanashakuntalam( The Recognition of Shakuntala), Vikramorvashiyam, and Malavikagnimitram; the epic poems Raghuvamsam; and the lyric Meghadutam. In addition to these even Ritusamharam is also believed to be his composition.

Abhijnanashakuntalam is usually judged the best Indian literary effort of any period. Kalidasa's beautifully written works, also speak of the society of those times as a courtly aristocracy sure of its dignity and power. His works till date inspire artists in various fields like drama, films, theatre and literature as well.

Hindhi Ghajini 2008 movie review

After the great success of Ghajini in Tamil it has been taken into bollywood. Director of the movie is Murgadass, who directed Ghajini in Tamil version. Aamir khan does the Sanjay Singhania character where in Tamil Surya did. Asin does the same role as she did in Tamil.

Movie Review:

The Sanjay Singhania(Aamir Khan) owner of Air Voice company falls in love with Kalpana (Asin), a model for ad films. But Kalpana doesn't know that he is the owner of air voice. In due time, she saves a group of small girls from a villain (named Ghajini) gang. They kill Kalpana in front of Singhania who becomes a short term memory patient after the attack of villain.

He takes revenge for his lover's death. He can remember what ever happened for only 15minutes. With this drawback how he takes revenge is the remaining story. There is a slight change in the end of the movie when compared to Tamil version.

A revenge taking movie with a romantic love back ground. The movie can be watched for Aamir Khan and his eight packs.

A man saved by invisible angel

I like to read blogs. Recently I came to read one interesting topic in a blog and I want to share it with you all. A man while traveling in a train fells unfortunately in between the train and platform. What would have happened to him? You all may think that he would have died but he didn't. He lied is body in the platform as advised by the people standing in the platforms.

Holding his death in breath he waited for 12 coaches of train to pass over him and he escaped without any hurts. But the man got shocked and he was speechless. There is no doubt that some invisible guardian angel saved him.

Absolute humidity and relative humidity

There are two types of humidity. Absolute humidity is the measure of the mass of water present in the air at the current temperature. Relative humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapor in the air, relative to the amount needed to saturate the air at that temperature. So if the relative humidity is 80%, it means that a 20% increase in humidity would result in the air becoming saturated with water vapor. once the air is saturated, it cannot hold any more water. When this air cools, the moisture present condenses, and water droplets are formed. The temperature at which this happens is called the dew point.

Naan Kadavul release date and audio launch

The most awaited movie "Naan kadavul" is going to be released on January 14 and this news has been confirmed officially. The songs of the movie will be released in end of December 2008 or at the beginning of January 2009.

The movie has been shooted for more than two years. Actor Arya co-operated well with Bala, the director of the movie. The movie is also experiencing lots of controversies.
