Official languages of UN

An international organization like the United Nations must have effective ways to overcome language barriers.

Since almost every country in the world is represented at the United Nations. it is not an exaggeration to sat that the United Nations is a mini world in itself.

The organization uses six languages in its meetings and documents. They are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. The secretariat uses two working languages, English and French.
