Meteorologist are the scientists who study the atmosphere to see how it affects the environment.

They predict the weather and climate trends.

In ancient times, people used to forecast the weather by studying the clouds, noting the dampness of the air and the shift in the wind, studying the behavior of cattle, and drawing upon folklore.

Today however meteorologists have sophisticated instruments to help them forecast the weather.
